This series of Self Portraits is a Work-In-Progress. I have been in the process of creating these images since 2012.
While placing myself within photographs, I use landscape and the human body to form a dialogue and narrative within the frame. The enjoyment of the solidarity that is presented within the work along with experimentation drives new knowledge of the medium, such as body movement and natural lighting. By learning and gaining new techniques of processes, the original idea is transformed and compounded personas arise. The female personas captured in different styles are direct reflections of the imaginary narratives I create. The spaces I create are often sought after, allowing for specific terroir. The narrative then forms from the knowledge of this area, and a new world is created.
